Kindergarten Class Tradition: "Come Sit with Me"
"Come sit with me awhile,” my child asked of me, For now he’s five years old and longs for me to be, By his side each day, and kissing him at night, Before I know it he’ll be grown and not in daily sight. I’ll always have our bench, where we used to talk and rest, holding tender memories while he was in my nest.”

This bench is meant to be a daily reminder of why we strive to "See the Good, Be the Good” in our world for our children. Each kindergartner was asked to provide their handprint and paint their initials on an individual tile. These tiles, along with the slogan "See the Good”  are integrated into a handcrafted, original bench created by Pete Lindquist. This one-of-a-kind bench is made to last and will be a welcome rest spot for many years to come.

Special thanks to Cheryl Moran and Pete Lindquist for their hard work to create this masterpiece. Thanks to our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. O’Brien and Mrs. Mateu, and our kindergartners for their support.

2nd Grade Class Tradition: "Rooted in Love" Platter
"Our family is like the branches of a tree. We may grow in our own directions, yet our roots remain as one." Our 2nd grade class is rooted in love, and the children blossom as their fingerprints form the leaves of their Class Family Tree. It’s been said that the roots of a family tree begin with the love of two hearts – in this case, many hearts and two wise owls – Mrs. Heiskell and Mrs. O’Sullivan! Serve up your next celebratory meal with a handcrafted piece created by your own child and the entire 2nd grade class! This is one-of-a-kind, 18-inch square ceramic serving platter can be used for birthdays, special occasions or as a piece of art hung on your wall. What a special keepsake for your child and family to remember this 2nd grade "family" and deep-rooted bonds for years to come.

Special thanks to Color Me Mine for lending its artistic touch, Laura Nackord, Celia Valencia, our 2nd grade teachers, Mrs. Heiskell and Mrs. O’Sullivan, and our 2nd graders for their support.

6th Grade Class Tradition: "Rustic Tray"
When St. Perpetua graduates are asked about their fondest memory of St. P’s, almost all say Caritas. Caritas Creek is, and continues to be, an unforgettable experience for the 6th grade students. Growth and development are enriched through positive relationships with self, others, nature and God. It is truly a magical week that lives in their hearts forever.

This year’s 6th grade class tradition is a special, one-time piece that you don’t want to pass up. A beautiful, handcrafted tray from Lafayette’s own Farmyard Darlings, features each students signature engraved on the back, and the word "ADVENTURE" engraved on the front. This special word was chosen by the 6th grade class to commemorate what Caritas and their spiritual journey means to them. Accompanying the tray is a beautiful, rustic frame with a group photo taken during their happiest time.

Special thanks to Sarah LaRose, Molly Maduck, Mr. Varni, and our 6th grade class for their support.
