Come Sit with Me - Kindergarten Class Tradition - LIVE
“Come sit with me awhile,” my child asked of me,
For now he’s five years old and longs for me to be,
By his side each day, and kissing him at night,
Before I know it he’ll be grown and not in daily sight.
I’ll always have our bench, where we used to talk and rest,
Holding tender memories while he was in my nest.”
This bench is meant to be a daily reminder of why we strive to "Be the Good" in our world for our children. Each kindergartner was asked to paint something that makes them happy and with this handcrafted, original bench created by Pete Lindquist it is a beautiful way to see all the good and happiness around us. One of a kind and made to last, this bench will bring a welcome rest for many years to come.
Special thanks to Jessica & Mike Haro, Kari & Pete Lindquist for their hard work to create this masterpiece and thanks to our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. O'Brien and Mrs. Mateu, and our kindergartners for their support.
